Day 1

On Monday 15th of October, Peninsula Primary School's Year 5 and 6 students started their week with camp at Camp Adair. Most of the children were really excited and some just a wee bit nervous! We started off by meeting in the GIAGANTIC hall to sit and eat our delicious morning tea! Then later on we started getting into our comfortable warm cabins to put our luggage and gear away. Later on we had free time to settle in and play games. In the afternoon before we got into doing our activities, we had some yummy afternoon tea. Everyone had 2 biscuits and a drink of water. Then we went to do all of our activities from 3:30 until 5:00pm. We had great fun! For dinner we had nachos and salad. YUM!

Today was pretty good except the fact that a lot of people were crying.  “I’m going to miss my cat Cara and my family.” Just hope I don’t get homesick too soon. Today I went on the Rambo Bridge where group 8 had to walk across probably a 30-40 ft bridge. It was really high and nothing on the sides of the narrow bridge but we were harnessed and all safe. It looked a lot higher than it was on the ground. If I could explain it in two words, it would be creepy and awesome!
